Jordan Brauninger (born January 19, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.) is a retired competitive American figure skater who now skates professionally. He is the 2004 World Junior bronze medalist.
Biography[]
He began skating at age five. Before becoming a figure skater, he played Ice hockey for three years. He then met Sergei Grinkov and changed to figure skating. He competed first as a pair skater with Samantha Skavdahl. He landed his first triple toe loop with the age of eleven and his first triple axel when he was 16. He trains in Crescent Springs, Kentucky. His coaches are Stephanie Miller and Ted Masdea. Brauninger represents the club Northern Kentucky SC. He lives in Ludlow, Kentucky and is home schooled.
Brauninger retired from competitive skating during the 2005/2006 season. On June 27, 2007, Disney announced that Brauninger would play the role of Troy Bolton in Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour.
