Katrina Hacker (born May 31, 1990 in New York, New York) is an American Figure skater. She is the 2005 American and 2008 Eastern Sectional champion.

Career[]

Hacker is the 2005 Triglav Trophy champion. She also placed 5th at the 2006-2007 Junior Grand Prix event in Romania her only Junior Grand Prix event.

Hacker trains at the Skating Club of Boston with coaches Mark Mitchell (American figure skater) and Peter Johansson (figure skater). After not qualifying for Nationals in 2007, Hacker moved to Boston in order to train with Mitchell and Johansson. She subsequently won the 2008 New England Regional Championships and 2008 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships.

At the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, she placed 6th, and was the third-highest-placing Worlds-age-eligible skater. Hacker was not selected for the World Championships in favor of former World Champion Kimmie Meissner, but was selected to compete and made her senior international debut at the 2008 Four Continents, where she was the top finisher among the American ladies.

Hacker was selected for the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Scholastics Honors Team and has deferred her admission into Princeton University to focus on her skating career.

Hacker began the 2008/2009 season at the 2008 Cup of China, where she placed 8th. She has also been assigned to the 2008 NHK Trophy.
